Love is a crazy perverse thing, that we deny ourselves too often when experiencing it and indulge too much in, in solitude.

Ahhh! I love finding yet another Irish woman writing short stories that are funnier and meaner and sexier and more perverse than half of what gets into the bestsellers lists.

This is poorly written, I am quite tired.

fantastic! I am a massive roisín’s work as a journalist (and very much look up to her), and have been excited for this since it was announced on her twitter ages ago. absolutely devouring it, and only putting it down because I have to be up early for work!

anderson’s account of the origins of nationalism is completely novel to me (to be expected I suppose as it is the seminal book on the subject), but is so constantly reinforced by my intuitive understanding of irish nationalism in contrast to other nationalisms: a theory of pearse’s “Tír gan teanga, tír gan anam”
