Missy Cunningham is starting The House of Velvet and Glass
Listening to this on Audible. I absolutely loved The Deliverance Dane book. I read the book then listened to it in Audible several times. I thought this book was going to be like that one. At first it is slow to get into but I’m enjoying it now. The description of the Titanic and high society life of that time is spot on as is the character description and development.

Awful. Don’t waste your time. It was extremely explicit and disturbing. It was a train wreck I had to finish. Sorry I wasted my money. I’m very sorry for the women who went through these issues but wow, the author could have given them more dignity.

It’s o.k. Sheds a very poor light on one of the most beautiful parts of the country. Although I recognized some of the names of the towns and a few parks, my experience was miles away from this when I lived in the area. It’s graphic and raw. I seriously hope the foster care system is not this horrendous.

I am reading this for a book club. I don’t love the book and find it rather boring. The only good part is that it is an eye opener to live a life thorough someone who may have autism. It’s not a thriller nor much of a mystery book. Maybe there is a twist in it but the love connect is lame and not well written. I’m not sure why this made Good Morning America Book Club. I would not have continued except for club

I am not much on reading about ‘slavery’ booms but this is so well written and focuses on their lives and personalities. It also compares and contracts to America during the same time and blames England for the slave trade !!! About 1/5th way through.
