Okay, is this really is just the Greek stories about her in her perspective? Someone who rec it to me made it seem like there was more to it than that but maybe that person just didn't already know some of the stories like I do.

I heard "3 cents" for a rabbit and for a moment forgot that this story takes place in the 19th century. I like Kingfisher's prose but the voice seems too modern for the period.

I don't know if saying "everyone sucks at meditation" is very encouraging. It also kind of makes me think this author only learned it from New Age yoga instructor types and does not really know what it is.

They are JUST NOW onto the killer, with about 30 minutes to go... either this is going to end on a cliffhanger or the ending will be rushed.

I'm really enjoying all these theories and information for this section. There are some bits about other cultural beliefs that has been oversimplified or lacks important additional information.

If this story is good at anything, it's good at keeping me uncertain of where any of this is going.

Also, man... some of the death in this story is just... really rough to take.
