taking a course on greek and roman epics and the wilson translation is one of our focuses.

i dont really know how i feel about this translation so far. it is easier to read than Fagels (which imo wasnt that bad) but it feels dumbed down and i’m not retaining as much of it as i did with other translations and i can just read it without really thinking about it.

there are so many similarities between what’s going on in the book and the things i’ve experienced, it hurts lmao.. this book has been a little hard for me to read because it’s like reading my own thoughts and stuff but i love it a lot

this book has been tough to read because it’s like the author is in my head. there are so many things that are so so relatable and things that also apply to my situation and describe how things are with him perfectly 👍
i’m really enjoying it so far though :)
