I am feeling like this book might just not be for me but I don’t want to abandon it just yet … but I do find it annoying

I am really enjoying this, it is well written and as advertised 🎉
But it also has extra gifts… I am pleasantly surprised by the inclusion of discussions of viewing art, of existing with art, of art spaces + moving through them. It’s sorta like that lynda barry comic of the mom and child staring at a painting and mirroring it.

Oooh, electric. Struggling somewhat with my medical squeamishness, but I also recognize this as something I have to continue to face…

I’m finding it underwhelming and a little annoying. Part of this is my issue- I did not understand what the author meant by “cooking for ten or more years in ten or more kitchens” and assumed it would be kitchen career focused. There’s interesting discussions of embodiment and gender in the beginning, but something seems lost in the middle.
