Had to DNF this one a few chapters in - read it for the tropes and vibes and good ratings on here but it was mostly tell and not show plus instalove which I don't like at all.

rereading this favorite - this time listening to the audiobook!! So far it's amazing 😍😍

Omg this book is so unhinged.

With the length of Outlander books I feel like progress updates are justified.

DNF at 15% I loved the cover and figured it would be a good Christmas read but just couldn't get into it (boring) and there are too many other books on my to be read shelf.

Way too many inane side plots, pointless side characters, quit enjoying it. There are too many other books to read, even when speeding this up and skipping boring sections I just want to dnf this one.

THIS BOOK. With the first read on audiobook I wanted the experience of reading it as words on a page. So much fun reading it now knowing the totally jaw dropping ending.

Finally giving a try to this author who my mom has been recommending for years as one of her favorites. The 41 hour (audiobook)/977 page length is a bit eye popping but if it's as great as she says then the length should be a plus. Wish me luck!

Oh man, it's starting to get so good.

Reading to fulfill the "Unreliable Narrator" square on my Library's summer book-bingo card. I guess it's famous enough have heard in advance that at least one of the narrators is, in fact, unreliable.

Inquiring with female relatives who were old enough to read this book in 1977 and watch the miniseries in 1983, Thorn Birds was a sensation. They still sound dreamy taking about it. When I found out a favorite narrator narrates this, I figured it was worth finding out if it holds up in 2022. Currently listening and reading the ebook.
