Really wanted to read a gripping book and this ticked that box! First half was really strong but did fall off a bit as it went on. Very dark in points.

Not for me unfortunately. Very repetitive, quite slow and I’m left with so many questions.

Got better as it went on but not really for me.

Perfectly encapsulates summer in London in your 20s- the good and the bad. Quite heavy at times and a tad slow in places.

Fun! I don’t love how it switches between 1st and 3rd person but I understand why the author does it.

A fun book! A bit far fetched and repetitive at the end but still enjoyed it.

Not a fan unfortunately.

Really good but way too long- means that it’s quite slow in places

good twists throughout but didn’t love the ending-it felt quite rushed. Could have done with another proofread as parts didn’t read well.

An interesting and funny book but with really sinister themes. Was way darker than I was expecting.

A really good (and emotional ending)! However I found most of the book quite slow and very technical in parts.

Seemed appropriate after the Artemis II mission last week!

Fun to re-read this, especially as I could listen to the album they created for the TV show at the same time. A really interesting approach but it took me longer to get into it compared to last time.

Really enjoyed this! Wanted something upbeat after my last read. A very sweet story, perfect for the long weekend.

Oh, what’s occurrin’?

Interesting but very sad.

Woooh last book of 2025! I needed a nice, more up beat read after Young Mungo. A fun book and I enjoyed the writing style. A bit slow in places and some unlikeable characters, but still really enjoyable.

Probably the saddest book I’ve ever read🥲. Deeply moving.

Very grippy but really sad! Slightly confused by the ending.

I enjoyed most of it and found it gripping but the last 100 pages were so confusing. Still not really sure what actually happened.

A fun book but not the story I was expecting. A lot of characters which made it hard to keep track. But still a fun read.

This book was a MARATHON and took over a month to read lol. Absolutely heartbreaking but still a beautiful read. Loved the lighter, more humorous parts and seeing the friendship between J, W, M & JB. Probably didn’t need to be as long as it was.

Unfortunately not the book I thought it was going to be, as the story is quite different from the blurb. I enjoyed the first part about working at SNL, but the book then turns into a Covid love story which wasn’t for me.

Finally finished on holiday🌞. Did enjoy but a bit slow!

Deffo not the easiest read which is why it took me so long to get through. It discusses a range of important issues.

A gripping plot which meant i got through it quickly! Still have a few unanswered questions at the end.

Was really craving a fun easy read so Bridget Jones was perfect. Deffo quite dated with some of the language and ideas, and very different from the film. Still fun though!

A really enjoyable and interesting read covering lots of topics. I really like Zadie Smiths writing style and it was surprisingly funny. I was also really invested in the characters. But it is definitely a bit slow in parts and a bit too long

It took a while to get into this one which is why it took me so long to read. Beautifully written and by the end I was really invested in the characters. A bit waffle-y at times which slowed down the story.
