Woooh last book of 2025! I needed a nice, more up beat read after Young Mungo. A fun book and I enjoyed the writing style. A bit slow in places and some unlikeable characters, but still really enjoyable.

Probably the saddest book I’ve ever read🥲. Deeply moving.

This book was a MARATHON and took over a month to read lol. Absolutely heartbreaking but still a beautiful read. Loved the lighter, more humorous parts and seeing the friendship between J, W, M & JB. Probably didn’t need to be as long as it was.

Unfortunately not the book I thought it was going to be, as the story is quite different from the blurb. I enjoyed the first part about working at SNL, but the book then turns into a Covid love story which wasn’t for me.

Deffo not the easiest read which is why it took me so long to get through. It discusses a range of important issues.

A gripping plot which meant i got through it quickly! Still have a few unanswered questions at the end.

Was really craving a fun easy read so Bridget Jones was perfect. Deffo quite dated with some of the language and ideas, and very different from the film. Still fun though!

A really enjoyable and interesting read covering lots of topics. I really like Zadie Smiths writing style and it was surprisingly funny. I was also really invested in the characters. But it is definitely a bit slow in parts and a bit too long

It took a while to get into this one which is why it took me so long to read. Beautifully written and by the end I was really invested in the characters. A bit waffle-y at times which slowed down the story.

Really enjoyed this one (written by my bestie, Stanley Tucci). It was an interesting insight into his life and he has a very calming writing style.

I think this has been my favourite Thursday Murder Club yet! There were some very sad and moving moments, but I found the plot and the twists interesting.

I liked this book more than the first! Like the first one it has some good twists and gets very gripping in the last 100ish pages. I liked that I already knew the characters too

It took me a while to get into but I thought the end was really good with some great unexpected twists. I like the main 4 characters too so I’m excited for the next book!

In my memoir era. I really enjoy the way Nora Ephron writes and the observations she makes about everyday life.

I’ve spent 8 hours on the Eurostar this week and this was the perfect book to read whilst gallivanting around mainland Europe.

I can definitely relate more to this book now that I’m older. It was sadder than I remember but I still really enjoyed it.

Re-read! I first read this when I was 19 and loved it, so I’m excited to see what I think this time round.

Took a long time to get into this, but once I did I finished it very quickly. An intriguing story but it often goes off at tangents which can slow it down. But it does all come together and make sense at the end.
