I am learning japanese so my favorite part of this so far is seeing some of the chinese characters and recognizing them. They're close but not exactly the same and I am really wishing that I this whole language/translation library really existed.

Lin Manuel Miranda reading the audiobook is KILLING IT. But also this is an amazing story that I don't want to end.

I loved the first 75% of The Great Alone so much that I'm willing to give this a chance...but so far The Four Winds is more reminiscent of the frenetic, slapdash ending. I hope it turns around...

This is the best book in 2020. I feel like this is par for the course for Obama - his comes on scene at these low, low points in American history but his voice offers hope in dark times. I can't tell you how much I needed this.

Listening to this audiobook because Obama narrates. I can't believe how much I took for granted that presidents should be good, knowledgeable human beings. Looking forward to all remaining 28 hours of this.

The world building here is immersive. I don't know how I'm going to be able to go back to real life after finishing it.

I am simultaneously grateful for every creature comfort I have right now, and also starving and freezing in solidarity for these people. Holy. Moly.
