This is one of the longer horror books I have read. I don’t remember the movie that well, but I feel like it did not really dive into the fear that Samantha has been feeling 24hrs a day for only a few days!

This horror/thriller, haunted house story is so spooky. Idk what I find scarier. The ghosts, the creepy men, or what is coming….

I’m over halfway through and this might not be scratching the thriller itch I need and want. This is reading more like a general fiction tbh

Idk about this book and I loved “The Quiet Tenant”

What is this book even about….. these MC as kids and teens in a cult, their relationship as adults, the seemingly unrelated murder? Like three plots

Not really sure how I feel about Enzo being in this one. Kinda lame that he turned down Nina to be with the girl who he helped try to replace her who specifically looked like a younger, hotter version of her to try to seduce the husband in the first book and who went from Nina to Millie….then Enzo too? Like are all men terribly dumb?

And suddenly…..Chapter 72 ugh cliffhanger

I take back everything I have said about the shark stuff before….enter the Shark Expert who I would love to meet at a library, too!

Another scary shark reference about feeding patterns.

But whatever. I am taking off my “science teacher hat” and reading this from the perspective of this is meant to invoke fear as a horror novel….dogs aren’t necessarily scary but Cujo is.

Still though. Just spreading misinformation about sharks who are already scary.

I think Jackson missed a great opportunity to share some actual sharks facts with us about their feeding frenzy patterns especially since the kids in the book are already so confused on shark feeding patterns….you would think other middle school kids have similar misconceptions…..

This is so wild that’s its local author and local environment. I know these streets!!!! It’s so awesome
