Ok this shift in Bailey isn’t character based. She goes from “I’m just tired of putting everyone else first” to “I make everything worse” in one day. It makes no sense. The entire book she has been complaining about never being able to prioritize herself to all the sudden she’s the problem? Doesn’t track or feel connected to character. Also, I think Maria is gaslighting her and that’s obnoxious.

Honestly—I’m about to DNF. I liked it at first but Ella has just gotten more and more obnoxious IMO. It was her calling Riley a coward for me. Seems super unearned and there hasn’t been THAT much interaction between them to warrant that or even show their attraction/interest with each other. A coward for what? Having boundaries? Ugh
