finally my spotify hours renewed🥳 reaaallllyy good but curious if there will be more twists since i still have a whole hour left of the book

started the book on saturday and im loving it!! helping me get out of a slump. BUT my spotify audiobook hours are up and don’t renew for 10 days and i still have 6.5 hrs left🫪🫪🫪 what to do

def a slower beginning but i can tell it’s just to set up the world and give us a lot of insight into the main character’s past. i haven’t been reading much these past few weeks but im hoping to start working thru a little quicker!

i like this book so far! it’s a bit different from what i usually read, but it’s fun to branch out. there are some parts that are a little cringe (eg everything about the tiktoks) but altogether i’ve enjoyed reading so far

so far
-i like fitz and the first person pov. sometimes i struggle with that but this is well done so far. i enjoy how he is constantly acknowledging that he’s an unreliable narrator (eg like “a flash of what i think is pity cross his face, but ill never know for sure”.

the start of a 16 book series!!!! i’ve been wanting to read realm of the elderlings for so long, so i’m really excited to get started. i honestly know very little about what happens in this series which i feel like is unusual for me, but it’s fun going in kind of blind!

still loving the book but my fears of getting whiplash from the love triangle are unfortunately coming true. any time maxon does anything america immediately decides she’s going back to aspen and is truly just using aspen as a backup/going back to what’s familiar if maxon doesn’t work out which really is unfair to both of them.

having the best time. can absolutely tell that it was written early 2010s (sometimes america gives “all i need is chicken nuggets and pizza vibes” if that makes sense lol) but i don’t mind at all. representative of its time lol

ok forgot some of the things aspen did but still i feel like ill find out he did it with the best of intentions. it took way longer than i remembered to meet maxon but its so fun

obviously i’m team maxon (he WAS the blueprint for so many books) but i have to say life is hard as an aspen apologist. it’s just like the wrath and the dawn

crying in the car after work rn. i am going to miss this series so bad once i finish

i’m liking this book a lot more than the first!! i’m really enjoying the world expansion and meeting some new characters!
