Need to have a big book clear out, so time to read that stack of YA novels I never quite got to, before deciding what to do with them.

I actually started this book yesterday but if Goodreads is going to keep randomly logging me out and glitching does it really matter?! And the last time I tried to change a start date it was an absolute nightmare. I’ve been much more lax about doing updates on here anyway (hence being behind on reviews) - any suggestions on different book trackers?

Well, it is our book of the year, so I should probably read it!

Maybe I’m delulu but I’ll be damned if I’m not going to try and make this reading goal.

Well, it’s that time of year: Christmas adverts have started and I’m dangerously behind on my reading goal. Time to knuckle down!

Seems like this has split some opinions despite the high rating, so I’m intrigued.

Christ, this is going to take me an age to finish. It is, however, excellent.

My toxic trait: gaslighting myself into believing I can finish books before I go away, running out of time and leaving an excruciatingly short amount left. Acceptance is the first step.

Review spoiler: a great book which I look forward to finishing next week!

Third section, “Renegade”, done and dusted. A lot of economics in this section, unsurprising for the beginning of Obama’s presidency. Still enjoying this a lot but definitely in the mood for one or two books before part four!

Started this the other day but not going to risk messing around with the dates on Goodreads. Very enjoyable so far!

God I am SO close to finishing this book but I refuse to take its ten ton weight on holiday, so guess it’ll have to be reviewed next week!

Well I was in the mood to try and finish this today as I’ve been really enjoying it and then a bird went and pooed on it. All down the side so between all the pages. Thanks pigeon. I’m begrudged to have to get a replacement as it was a gift. Ugh.

Part 2 finished, having read lots in the sunshine last week. Still loving it and enjoying taking it at a slower pace.

Still enjoying A Promised Land! Just needed something more portable to carry out and about.

Actually been reading this for almost a week, but as per, Goodreads wasn’t having it. Ah well, going to be trying and finishing it today anyway, I’ve got three books on the go now!

Loving it so far! Having a few days break as I don’t want to lug a hardback (and a very beautiful one at that) with me up north. Will be reading something more portable instead!

Ahhhh got my copy in the post this morning!! It’s so beautiful!! I’ve not read any of Adichie’s fiction before so I’m really excited to get into this!!

Part One finished! Great read so far, really enjoying it. Going to take a ‘break’ with a different book in between each Part to try and prevent burnout!

Oh boy time for a big one. Probably going to go through a reading phase of ‘books I fear could be banned in the not inconceivable future’. Might have to break it up with some ‘lighter’ material in between, we’ll see I guess!

I realise it’s taking me longer than expected to read quite a short book; but I’m really taking my time to digest and think over every point here, and my goodness do I have THOUGHTS.
