My favorite of the series

Sardonicus. Solid but dated.

Do these actually count as individual books?

This book is composed of stories told in reverse chronological order.

The first story is The Last Case - and sets the tone for this slightly ridiculous set of mysteries - imagine Sherlock Holmes on his deathbed solving a case using only his ECG Machine, and you will get the picture.

The second story, the Prisoner's Dilemma, is slightly more grounded but quickly gives way to twist after twist after twist.

Interesting and easily accessible - it made me want to read more about the period.

Listening on audible. There's definitely a slant but I am enjoying learning the history of Communism.

I am a little worried this is reaffirming my previously held beliefs but I am enjoying it.

It's occasionally like YA word porn but very entertaining.

I read this page in 5-10 page bursts and honestly every time I sit down to read I get a dinosaur attack. It's amazing.

Technically listening to the brand new full cast audio - but it's still pretty wild.

I have no idea what’s going on and couldn’t explain it beyond “shadows and unicorns and awkward teenage boobs” but I dig it

Either this is easily the best book of the series or I’m just officially on the same wave length of what I’m starting to think is an old black man recounting his life.
