I’ve almost cried twice so I’m in for a ride

This book has been haunting me since early March. I so desperately did not want to DNF a book I bought abroad and had stamped by the bookstore, but this is just not for me. I love weird fiction but this just isn’t what I expected, it’s slow, and I’m sick of torturing myself with it. I don’t think I’ll give it away just yet - especially because it’s personalized - but I need to release myself for now.

DNFing. All of the hype reviews got me super excited, but we’re about halfway in and I don’t feel the chemistry between this eventual pairing *at all* and I honestly don’t care about the plot, either. It’s an interesting, original concept, but I feel like everything about the concept I was interested in has been glossed over. Just not for me.

I want to like this but I keep cringing
