Mr. Knightly and Miss Bates just had what might be my new favorite scene in the book. I didn't remember it from prior reads but it made me laugh out loud, which is my favorite kind of Jane Austen reading.

Having trouble with this one. It's not in my normal wheelhouse, which is one of the reasons I went for it. But it does not fit into a good reading spot either. It's not relaxing enough for before bed and fanciful enough for escapism. It's too complex for a light read. This will be in my reading queue for quite a while at this rate.

Stephanie is 61% done with Sense and Sensibility

The first half of this book I spent rediscovering the joy of reading Jane Austen's dry, subtle wit (she's very in-your-face with the humor in Northanger Abbey. Still fun, but not her main style). Now that I've passed the half way point, I'm remembering why this book is my least favorite of Austen's novels. Marianne has become SO ANNOYING

This book is awesome, but it physically hurts to read it and be reminded of the news I hear each morning. I can't believe how relevant the fights from 60 years ago still are today.
