Very comprehensive.
- 3 kinds of place- relations
- these relations are two-sided/directional
-cohere around the norm of "accomodating"
-so what? Positive-space relations rather than negative or "factual profane" characterises construction of sacred spaces.

So far I am enjoying it. It started as a dissertation (2010) and I am reading both together to see the shifts. As a graduate student, I relate more closely to the dissertation style of writing. The book is far more polished and some sentences in the book are paragraphs in the dissertation. It helps to see what Eric Hayot calls, the "iceberg" of knowledge and connections.
