seriously though. i find whatever story is building of bailey, poppet, and widget far more interesting and entertaining than the two “main” characters. regardless, im glad it feels like things are finally getting interesting in this book. i hope it lasts.

shall i take a shot for every time the author writes “save for […]”? also, i don’t find this book really appealing. while this isn’t a defining part of a good book, ive read 200 pages and there hasn’t been a single line that has stood out to me enough to highlight and for me, that’s a lot. but, i am dedicated and there’s a lot more pages to go so hopefully it gets good

my boyfriend questions why i am so committed to books i don’t love or written by authors who may not need the spotlight. whether or not this book will go down as one of my favorites, i don’t know. however, i believe there is always something to take away from a book. a read is never wasted. i actually think this is a great book for me to read at this moment in my life
