Actually falling in love with Aubyn Trevor-Battye. I want a painting of him in my home. I want to write essays so the world knows how extremely kind and charming and unimaginably stupid he was.

Continuing to scope out the New Historians, as Ilan Pappé is grouped with them often. It amazes me that the others also present an accurate account of Israel's foundation, but still consider that narrative heroic and inspirational. Which becomes surprising *again* knowing these books were extremely controversial in Israel nevertheless.

Realised I should really know this as background for The Divine Comedy.

Desperate to finish reading, gotta stop here for now for book club :(
