It’s a DNF for me at 65%. I hate Rin and they just killed off the character I was hoping to follow to a happy ending.

Well, now it’s not just Name of the Wind it’s similar to, it’s a Jim Butcher book, too. The Aeronaut’s Windlass series has magic users who are a little crazy due to the secrets of life their use of exposes them to.

Disturbingly similar to the Name of the Wind… but better story around it.

Much more coherent than recent efforts in this series. Very enjoyable.

Fantastic. Shōgun. Or Godfather. With magic.

Currently angry at the plot developments. Transferring to the Running Grave for a while.
