Sorry I’m literally reading like 6 books at once with this. The library whisked away another unfinished audiobook and I’m still in my long commute era so I’m back with this.

So far very Agatha coded. And I know that’s the point. And I think it is impressive to write in another’s style and time period so fluently. Boring crimes so far though

Idk why but I’m throughly enjoying this. I love annoying unreliable asshole men characters written by women. They are so caricatured and also somewhat comforting to me

Literally 3% in and the aesthetic is cool. Main character has already professed his love for the cool girl. And signs of seemingly subconscious othering of the Irish by Anglicized Irish persists. Will be interesting to see if the author develops anything with that identity
