Note to self: maybe try reading the physical book one day, the audio narrator is not enjoyable…
I’ll move this back to “want to read” because I do feel like the story itself could be interesting.

I may be 28% in but I have listened to 0 %
So I can’t say I don’t like it
But I can say it isn’t holding my interest and at this point I have DNFd so many audio books that I might be the problem, I need to make better choices …

Another book that is rated so highly that I just cannot get through. Is it because it’s YA? I don’t know
I enjoyed the first bit and now I’m just bored with the letters written back and forth
I feel like nothing is happening at all other than the accident?
I can’t finish the next 3 hours 😵‍💫

I want to finish it
I’m just not interested AT ALL
I dread pressing play and having to listen to it
And I have hoursssss to go
I’m sad, I wanted to love this and I’m so over

🎧 this might be the first book I’ve DNF’d just because it’s too intense for me and not because it’s bad. I didn’t look at the tags and realized this far in it’s too creepy and way too intense for me but the audiobook for anyone who can handle this genre is really well done…

I’m trying but it’s just not. It could be being 6 months pregnant and nothing is keeping my attention lately so I’m not going to blame the book. This is one I lay return to later to finish but right now I cannot.

A book I was sure I would love without having any real idea what it’s about but just based on reviews and vibes and I’m 70 pages in and I hate it…. I want to DNF but I have to push on to see what all the fuss is about.

I would probably finish it I was actually reading it.
I hate the main character, I cannot differentiate any of the women. I don’t understand how he’s getting away with any of this? And I don’t feel like waiting to find out.

Why are people obsessed with this? It’s so boring on audio…

Who knew astronauts and a love story would be so good. I loved Joan so much for everything she did in this story 🫶

I find it hard to believe that anyone would want to bond with a wolf when there are so many opportunities to be killed/culled. It just doesn’t make sense to me.
This book was like Fourth Wing but with Dire wolves and less intense connections between the wolves and their riders and less spice between lovers.

I’ve tried 2x
But I take full responsibility for not knowing anything about a book before I pick it up.
I don’t know who Joan Didion is and I had to google the meaning of the title because after getting 1/3 of the way through I still wasn’t sure why it was called that.

So know having a better idea of the meaning of the title i realize this is maybe more for fans of Joan Didion.
