I have to take a break from reading this. A grown woman in all seriousness responding “Merp” when someone asked how she was doing on page 1 just made me hyper focused on the cringy parts of this book and it’s all I can see. I want to like this so bad but it feels like she’s trying too hard for quirky FMC and golden retriever MMC and it’s taking TOO long for literally anything to happen
