"But all of us are more of less murderers...I'm sure that intellectually we have all experienced analogous sensations to some degree. We may curb the innate need we have for murder, or attenuate physical violence by giving it a legal outlet -- whether through industry, colonial trade, war, hunting, or anti-semitism..."

I know so far that it's like about an allegory for women and such but I can't be bothered to understand it

After Huysmans and Against Nature<\i>, all other seminal works of the Decadent are practically trash.

Huysmans had within him that profound quality of a Catholic's confession where something like Lorrain right here is just sinfully ugly.

I can't help but imagine these homerotic characters as anime girls doing their slice-of-life thingamajigs.

The Catholic's heart wears Christ on their sleeves; Huysmans tailored the abundance of His fabrics before he even thought his heart of being worn.

Just wanna say that the Indonesian translation is terrible. Not only is it technically filled with typos, this language of ours is just so un-aesthetical. We should have stuck with Sanskrit to the point that we revitalize it and mog modern-day India. Smh my head, what a choice it has been to not read this in English. Worse that I paid money for it, should have bought snacks and bloatmaxx back at the mall, truly.
