DNF’ed the book half way through then forgot about it because of the murder subplot.

Achilles can kiss my ass. Of course blame a woman because of your ego and pride. All of this happened because a king didn’t want to give his slave back to her father and it made a god, Apollo angry. Men are annoying children sometimes. All of the men in this book are insufferable, well maybe not Patroclus but even he was still a rapist and kept a slave.

“His mother is a fish.” I don’t know why that made me laugh. But this book is good, I like it a lot except for the women being slaves part. Achilles and Patroclus’s relationship seems sweet enough but how Achilles treats Briseis is disgusting like I know she’s a prisoner of war technically but like ew. It weird about the sex and his mother stuff like what?

Listening to the audiobook. It’s 22hrs. Jesus.

“I am Batman.”

They matched each other’s freak. This book isn’t inherently bad, I like the audiobook because it’s in two different voices and it’s better to understand.
