Right now in the book, she just moved out of her uncles abusive home. She is living in an orphanage. she is also the least favoriite there becasue she is a smart girl.

The lesson that alice learned is that Teddy got better. She also learned that she needs to make herslef happy first. She's also getting over teddy . She never accepted his money

To not make fun of people . Majority of the people who make fun of others have issues at home . This affected the main character because he was getting made fun of .
