I hate only 2-3 pages long chapters :( and this book is full of them but it was the most exciting book out of the 2026 booker longlist

I took a break from this to rest (fantasy tires me a little) and also to attend my tbr (I’m trying to shrink my 180 books long tbr). It was the best decision. Since I missed it, it is so much more fun.

I kinda wanna read Aoife trying to protect the island instead of this whatever mystery we are supposed to be focusing on. The big mystery is not even announced yet.

Book club pick. Reading slowly because I’m into my other books rn.

She learnt from her mistakes and she is citing her sources now!
