I'm determined to finish this but so far I'm not impressed. This is way way too much description without any action. We almost got some action a few times but I need there to be more action going forward.
The religious zealot is an extremely uncomfortable point of view but makes it interesting.

I'm honestly not impressed. I find the main character annoying and cannot connect with her being completely ungrateful to absolutely everything. I also am struggling with the magical basis of both casting spells creating energy and taking energy at the same time but not sure which is dominant. I'm about to give up on this one.

Incest was mentioned in the trigger warnings but I didn't realize it would be the main characters. That is just not something I can ever get on board with and definitely ruined any supposed romance. I haven't finished the book yet and I'm still confused if this is fiction or fantasy. I guess the end will tell.

I'm really struggling to enjoy this book. I am considering DNF with how absurdly awkward the "email exchanges" are between the 2 main characters. It is dragging and needed to be edited much better.
