I'm really struggling to enjoy this book. I am considering DNF with how absurdly awkward the "email exchanges" are between the 2 main characters. It is dragging and needed to be edited much better.

For the record, I have a hard time with romance between blood related family members, including cousins. I know it was common long ago but I struggle with it.
That was not the part that turned me off though. I felt like I struggled the entire time with the plot and all the companions merging together.
I know it it fantasy, but it almost seemed like they tried too hard. I'll see where it ends...

I'm having a hard time getting into this book. I really liked the first one so I will see how this turns out.
