I don’t know why I expected to learn new information from a book on feminism written in the 70’s but I am disappointed so far.

I think I want to finish this series more because I’m curious about why these books have the reputation they have than because I actually care about these characters. At first the bits were cute and fun but now they just feel tired. Fingers crossed it gets better.

One of the most common pieces of writing advice is “show, don’t tell” and McCurdy does this so. incredibly. well.
