Thoroughly enjoying this. I'm just a slow reader!

The interlude between trumpets 6 and 7 wherein we have the "tale of two witnesses" stirs up feelings in me I can't describe.

Before I get into any other books in 2026, I'm determined to finish this one!

What do I think so far? I'd walk out of the office if my therapist did some of these activities...

I actually face-palmed...except with a book. So I face-booked?? Imma keep going, because I still don't hate it.

Enjoyed the thoughts on Pentecost and the Holy Spirit. "...part of the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit is to show us areas of our lives where the work is not done yet, to leave us with a holy dissatisfaction that drives us to see afresh our need for the free grace of Christ..."

It's so good. If they ever make it into a musical, one of the tracks should be called, "Somebody Needs to Smack Cathy". I'll help write it.

Just finished the chapter on gluttony (which I listened to over a bowl of cocoa pebbles 😆). She had a fairly nuanced approach, but I'm not sure I 100% agree with her. But I'm glad she is writing about it; it's one of the least discussed sins. I am thankful to have some points to ponder.
