Completamente obcecada

Thank you, Shirley Jackson, for inventing the plot twist! I must be reading this book upside down or backwards. Is it a manga? I just don’t get the hype around this book. I can’t believe I wasted and keep wasting my time with it. My only pleasure in this reading is laughing at myself for still believing it’s going to get good or that something will actually happen.

I’m halfway through the book and literally NOTHING has happened. “Oh, but it must be setting up the background story” yeah, no. What little has been revealed so far is badly written anyway, suspense or not. At this point, the only way this book could redeem itself is if, in the end, Marricat actually turned out to be a real cat.
