On my 4th book for this week (yes I’m devouring Elle Kennedy’s hockey romance novels) and it’s been the most fun reading week I’ve had in years

“I quickly straighten up before I do something stupid, like kiss her. Instead, I take a huge gulp of my beer. Only it goes down the wrong pipe, and I start coughing like it’s the eighteenth century and I’m a tuberculosis patient.”

I really missed Hannah And Garret so much

“We’re kinda friends now.”
“I heard that,” Garrett pipes up. “And there’s no ‘kinda’ about it. We’re best friends, Nelly. Don’t let Wellsy tell you otherwise.”

When I tell you that I’m a sucker for the whole best friend’s thing! Gosh it has my heart in absolute knots

“I need to get you to sign an autograph for me. That way when you’re cleaning up at the Grammys, I can sell it on eBay and make a killing.”
“And by the way? I think you’re making a mistake singing a duet for the showcase. You should be on that stage alone. Seriously, if you sit there with a single spotlight on you and sing like you just did now? You’ll give everyone in the audience chills.”

Oh my gosh I forgot how much Hannah did not like Garret in the beginning

“Logan’s a bruiser of a defenseman, one of the best I’ve ever played with, and also the best friend I’ve ever had. His first name is John, but we call him Logan because it makes it easier to differentiate him from Tucker, whose first name is also John. Luckily, Dean is just Dean, so we don’t have to call him by his mouthful of a last name: Heyward-Di Laurentis.”

I missed Hannah. Low-key this is exactly how some university professors make me feel

Rereading Hannah’s and Garret’s book because I miss them and I need to do them justice before I watch the series (also I just read Logan’s and Dean’s book and I felt bad that I didn’t really remember Garret’s)

“The thought of spending two more years sitting in the same lecture halls as her makes suicide sound pretty appealing.”

“How do I fix this?” I ask, sighing.
“Quick. Write her another poem,” Garrett suggests.

“And just in case my reaction to your idiocy didn’t make it clear where I stand with us, then let me spell it out for you.” I whirl around to scowl at him. “I love you, you stupid jackass.”
Well that’s certainly a way to tell someone you love them.
