extremely bored

I've put this book aside or now. Unlike most people I read heavier subjects in the summer. Just couldn't focus enough right now for this.

Sometimes I just want something hardboiled.

I won this through a Goodreads Giveaway. Came today. Perfect timing. I had just finished my last read.

wrong book

I won this book from Goodreads Giveaway and I've been struggling through it. For a while I could keep up with the alphabet soup of agencies and so many individuals. I'm ot in IT and this book has gotten the better of me. I'm giving up but will gift the book to an Information Security student who will get much more out of it than I.

Have 2 reading goals for this year: read some short stories, read some Joyce Carol Oates. She hs a short story in this collection. Bingo.

I received The Antigone Poems as part of the First Read program. Thank you so much. I'm not much of a poetry reader and thought I'd stretch a bit. Holding it for April (National Poetry Month). After I read it I'll keep it moving through www.Bookcrossing.com

I did not see that coming!

I received this as a First Read. Came in the mail today and I started reading it diredctly out of the envelope.

20% in and I'm done. Too many cliches. Too many adjectives. Not enough interest.

Supposedly an overview of paradigm shifts in the hard sciences. I think it was more the author's personal odyssey through the physical sciences. Assumed I remembered lots more science than I do.

I'm guessing since Kindle tells me I'm near 50% in.
