a book to finally lull me out of my reading slump - it’s been a tough start to ‘26 with reading (DNF’ing 2 books, on the brink with a third one) but this has really brought reading back to life! i can see the influences from Klune’s Cerulean Sea series in this but it’s also so different!

will likely dnf this :/ these characters feel flat to me but i am holding out for something more enticing to me in these next few pages

I know this diva (female lead who's not fumbling what seems like and lowkey is a really bad situation ... has her wits about her and is written as a smart, not-aloof character). This is a great read so far but feeling like the plot is a little predictable. Idk I'll keep my hopes up. Hoping there's a little more Simon+Jackson
