Update to my last status: finished This Is Amiko, Do You Copy? (it was short) so back to white-knuckling it through the Fluids audiobook (this is an immense compliment) and switching to my reread of Rendezvous with Rama when it gets too intense. I do this a lot with intense books, reading a few chapters and then switching to something calmer.

You ever read a book that was so good you have trouble reviewing what exactly made it so good because all you want to do is rave about it? What do you do about that?

It's no secret that I don't read a lot of nonfiction, but I'm very glad I picked this up, it's incredibly sobering.

It's not on Goodreads yet but I just started the upcoming poetry collection "Short Film Starring My Beloved's Red Bronco" by K. Iver and WOW that first poem knocked me off my feet.

Honestly, though, I've loved almost every book I've read this year so it was hard to pick!!

Two books to go until I hit my edited goal! Probably "Tell Me I'm Worthless" and "Freshwater."

Going to try to make it to 26 books this year. One book every two weeks isn't ideal, but with the year I've had it's not bad!

I usually review, but I'm not going to review the poetry book I'm currently reading as I don't feel as qualified to comment on poetry as I do on prose. But rest assured--it's fantastic, I almost want to give it five stars before even finishing! Pub date 4/2023.
