I’m loving this! The world building is excellent and the characters are all fully fleshed out. Looking forward to seeing how the story is resolved at the end

Really enjoying this story so far. Fantasy is not my genre at all, but the world-building is so lovely and I’m gripped to know where the story will head next

This book has been a letdown so far. Despite its consistent rankin as one of the best books of the 21st century, the characters feel flat, and their dialogue isn’t realistic. The narrator generalizes the group of students, which feels fitting given the weak characterisation. The plot is fine, but it moves painfully slowly. Unless it picks up, I can't see this being more than a 3-star read :-(

As with any self help book, it is quite repetitive and a bit dry at times. However the points made are really useful and can be easily implemented. I can totally see why this book has been so popular. I enjoy that the author references worksheets related to each chapter on their website so that you can revisit the key topics.

Absolutely adored this book. I’ve read over 100 books this year and think this might be my favourite. Despite there being lots of characters perspectives and timelines, the story was easy to follow and I really felt I knew the setting and characters. Also 1970’s camp/forest setting, what’s not to love?!
