I'm not enjoying this book at all.

Eh, I think I jumped into this one too fast in a bout of 90's nostalgia. I'm annoyed three pages in, and it's a reissue of an old book, and the reviews suggest it has several problematic aspects. Gonna skip it.

I'm having a really hard time keeping track of the female characters in this book.

"...her arms were covered with tattoos. She liked the Ramones. So the fact that she was outside barefoot probably didn't mean anything." what am I reading?!?!?

I'm about a third of the way through... is there any reason I should keep going? Pretty bored.

5 chapters in and this book is fucking excellent

This is one of those books where the author clearly has never texted anyone in her life, but imagines that she is hip to how the cool kids use the texting. So we get a lot of "this summer u/me nuns. xoE" - lol what?!

I don't think I've ever heard or seen anyone use the word "hale" before, but it's already been used like nine times in this book. I had to look it up.

this book is ridiculous. in what world do adults call each other "butthead" as an actual insult? so glad this is not the first book of hers I read.
