I finished volume six, _A Half Century of Conflict_. I’ll pick up the final volume of the series, _Montcalm and Wolfe_, next year. :-)

Reading the sixth volume of Parkman’s seven-volume history of France and England in North America. It is an annual Thanksgiving tradition of mine for the past several years to read a work about early American history as a way to connect with our past. I began the Parkman series in 2017, having begun the tradition the year before with James Horn’s _A Land As God Made It_, a history of the Jamestown colony.

On 28 December I finished volume five of Parkman’s series on the history of France and England in North America, the volume titled, « Count Frontenac and New France Under Louis XIV. » Over the previous four years I read the first four volumes.
