This is the most egregious example of the miscommunication trope ever....

Rereading after roughly 20 years and I am so much less impressed than I was a teenager. Obviously, it's a fantasy world but the complete disregard for informed consent is jarring. Also, on top of being a rapist and a shitty Dom , The Prince is kind of insufferable.
