He's no GRRM, that's for damn sure. I like my fantasy dark and darker, and this isn't that.

But, I've stuck with it, and the story is starting to kick in.

I do like the battle sequences.

This is the second or third time I've read A Diary of The Century. Fascinating portrait of America and the life of Edward Robb Ellis, a newspaper reporter and author of several nonfiction books about New York City.
