His name is Mr.Grace but I don’t know his first name. He was study the astrophages and found how they reproduce and that became fuel for interstellar travel. Though the trip takes 4 years which means they were put in coma (like stasis) for the trip. Two of his crew mates have perish and he founds another ship that might be an alien origins. Each chapter ends with a good cliffhanger.

Just started Hail Mary, it’s in first person so you feel more intimacy with the nameless character and you learn what he learns. The flash backs feel different from nomral ones becuase the main character doesn’t rember his name only events. Astrophages sounds like a cool idea for alien life and how he solves math problems is interesting and shows his character well.
