Charles is on page 230 of 400 of Inside the Cell: The Dark Side of Forensic DNA
I haven't checked but I'm probably no further along than last time. I somehow managed to stall out in this even though it's excellent reading. I highly recommend it to anyone who has an interest in how DNA really works in regards to Criminal law.

I'm always reading this book. You don't read The Book of Mormon like a novel. In on about my 26th reading.

Okay. I'm looking at comments as to "how can people give 4 stars if they haven't read this yet," and I agree you have to AT LEAST have STARTED reading to comment, right? I'm on page 146 and I was immediately pulled in by this author's reading. From where I sit, this guy is every bit as good as the beloved Stieg Larson. He captures the "feel" of the characters where they left off. But that's just my take.

Fun ride. I only wish Craig would go back to more of Elvis's antics.

Now don't get mad you ladies, but I don't usually like female writers; I don't tend to like the way they phrase things. HOWEVER, this author is REALLY good! Not very many adjectives or adverbs. Her description is mostly through simile and metaphor. Not that male writers necessarily use these literary devices more than women, I just tend to prefer the WAY male authors write. ANYWAY...excellent writing.

Ok...ok...I didn't finish this but I got the gist of how the spy ring came together and how they conveyed their Intel------------VERY cool. But I found I have other, more pressing, "reads" to attend to :) The reading in this one is quite nice, though.

Dan Brown is a decent storyteller, but he's actually kind of a lame writer.

I abandoned this a few months ago. I just couldn't handle the way this guy, almost at every page, repeats his assumption we all accept his theory that we're all "superior primates." Blech!

Charles is finished with The Death Collectors (Carson Ryder, #2)
I finished this a long time ago; several months, last summer I believe. It was pretty good. I'm now reading The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, which is getting REALLY good just around page 300 [out of 644 pages].

Out of 381.25 pages, I'm on 312. This writer, Jack Kerley, is good. I like his character, Carson Ryder's quirky style, as well as Carson' older, more "seasoned" partner, Harry Nautilus. Most of these Carson Ryder books, I've noticed, are told in 1st person, but Kerley is skilled at it. I'll let you know how it ends!
