Dolly is SUCH a good writer. I am somehow rooting for Andy, when I typically would not resonate with a character like this. She gives such Andy such emotionally complex background that I have no choice but to empathize with him. and the comic relief is A+. I’m throughly entertained and invested!

SO GOOD!! Been slowly reading this because this book requires content breaks IMO because it’s a A LOT but it’s rewarding and each section is complicated in their own right but give a gratifying, hopeful end. I can’t wait to read more of Gild’s work!!

I’m hooked on this book! I’ve finally picked back up on my reading habit and I’m SO happy I picked up this book. The storytelling style of the author grasped me right away and these true, shocking stories of heroic recovery through therapy are shocking and inspiring. The narrative style and reading through the lens of the therapist makes it all the more fascinating. Can’t put it down!
