This is a book that has existed in my periphery for years. It’s not what I expected so far

Just in case you thought I’d given up reading my book in Chinese, I haven’t. My current goal is 2 pages everyday so I can finish it before the summer holidays

1. I need easy reading to escape my slump
2. Rereading books from my childhood is soothing and I’ll try anything to escape this bought of insomnia
3. I should not have to justify my reading choices

I think this book has crack in it…how have I just read 62% of it in a 2 hour sitting after a month long reading slump?

There’s the added tragedy I know from Zevlin

the writing is not as bad as previously thought: I think it was just bad in the first chapter or two which threw me off. I’m enjoying myself and hoping this writer is not a Zionist 🤞

another audiobook! Apparently I’m in my non-fiction era

Okay I’m trying my hardest to look past the writing because I want a light/silly/fun/quick read but let it be known that the book snob in me is screaming to be unleashed.

I’m a lil disappointed, it’s starting to feel a bit rushed where the beginning dragged a bit. I’m still overall enjoying it but I don’t think it lives up to the feeling I had reading the second one

This just keeps getting more and more dark and disgusting and I’m starting to think it might be a bit much for me right now. Not a fun pre bed read at all 🤢

This is a bad faith reading and I’m already hating it. Why does she literally repeat herself like 4 times in every paragraph and spell EVERYTHING out?? like come on…I know what you meant. You don’t need to treat me like a child.
