I am REALLY enjoying this novel (even as I am daunted by how much book there is and how little change in scenery is allowed)

Okay, but I'm actually enjoying this audiobook so much

Does anyone have any recommendations of love stories with believable male characters or is that a myth I'm chasing? 😭

I'm not expecting that from this book, but the rude, broody-turns-adorable man is getting old.

DNF: WAY too intense for this week. Maybe I'll try again later? The descriptive brutality is a lot.

Do I hate how fast I'm eating this book up? A little. Is it perfect for escapist light-reading? Again, yes.

So, so fluffy and exactly what I was looking for as a light hospital read.

AND no questionable content thus far! We will see how the rest of the book looks before giving it a final thought

So far, this is my favorite of the first three in the quintet

I did not expect this to be such a compelling read, but I am so invested

Dilemmas so far:
1) I love the writing, but it's a little challenging to hold so many heavy-meaning words in my head with so few normal/small words around them... (Maybe just heavy on the descriptive adjectives?)
2) Nadeau says repeatedly that the ordinary is the important, but then literally moves to England and then Spain on a whim..?
3) I understand the embodiment of drinking and smoking, but it feels unaddressed
