Okay, I enjoyed the first one but DANG. This second one blows it entirely out of the water

And here we go at long last

Really tempted to make this a DNF... These characters all feel so contrived and fake— caricatured, maybe?
I'll give it a little more time but it's not looking hopeful.

Finally got my copy of what was supposed to be a cozy, fall rom-com read, so here we go, I guess!

It's a little cringey and very "telling not showing" so far,
but I can overlook this if it's a cute plot.

"By their very nature, human beings are so capricious, so complex, so delightfully contradictory, that they deserve not only our consideration, but our reconsideration—and our unwavering determination to withhold our opinion until we have engaged with them in every possible setting at every possible hour" (120).

I am REALLY enjoying this novel (even as I am daunted by how much book there is and how little change in scenery is allowed)

Does anyone have any recommendations of love stories with believable male characters or is that a myth I'm chasing? 😭

I'm not expecting that from this book, but the rude, broody-turns-adorable man is getting old.

DNF: WAY too intense for this week. Maybe I'll try again later? The descriptive brutality is a lot.

Do I hate how fast I'm eating this book up? A little. Is it perfect for escapist light-reading? Again, yes.

So, so fluffy and exactly what I was looking for as a light hospital read.

AND no questionable content thus far! We will see how the rest of the book looks before giving it a final thought
