I feel like 30% of this book is just repeating how sis feels so lonely because her grandfather died and she didn’t know him but now she’s really rich and she’s really into this guy but he doesn’t want to marry for love and how he thinks they would never work, etc. I’m looking for this mystery but nothing has happened yet I’m so confused

three pages in he talks about how proud he is of his father for “putting a stop to homosexual love of men” and I put the book down. Simply not vibe, but after doing some research it does seem like a lot of gay relationships at this time had a pretty large age gap involving what we would now consider children/minors… eeeek. @aidan do u know anything about this guy
