loving it so far, hélène is an amazing character

i love fantasy books i am having sm fun

feeling very info-dumpy so far and i’m not sure i get a sense of the protagonist’s personality other than “she’s uncool, she’s ambitious, and she wants to go to space.” interesting enough plot that i’m going to finish the book

Trying to remember how old I was when I picked up the first Ember book. 14? 15? However long ago it was, it is genuinely so lovely to be back in this world and with these characters. Helene endears me and pisses me off as much as she always did. I missed fantasy novels
