quite liking this so far

really enjoying this so far, exactly the kind of engaging/emotive but flowing read i’ve been looking for

how come none of you guys told me the rock is nonbinary 😭

grace rocky save stars 🥲

everything on hold i have to read this immediately

why would she specifically mention that poppy only showers three times a week. that is horrifying

sigh i have put my long literary fiction reading list on the backburner to read this because everyone’s talking about it

this is so haunting i need to take breaks every ten minutes

this book is extremely MFA coded but quite good so far

this is wild lol

probably last reread of the year. still obsessed with this guy

slow going tbh

not sure how to feel so far. lots of critique of academia which is valid but also nothing particularly new to me

i dropped my intense translated 1940s french novel to backslide into rereading the entire green bone saga for the third time. idk what’s wrong w me but i’m having a fantastic time

loving it so far, hélène is an amazing character

i love fantasy books i am having sm fun

feeling very info-dumpy so far and i’m not sure i get a sense of the protagonist’s personality other than “she’s uncool, she’s ambitious, and she wants to go to space.” interesting enough plot that i’m going to finish the book

i am crashing out so bad

my haymitch playlist is queued and i am locked tf in

haymitch has been my favourite character for years so this should be an interesting one 🙃

OH MY GOD

help i'm back in the fucking building again

Trying to remember how old I was when I picked up the first Ember book. 14? 15? However long ago it was, it is genuinely so lovely to be back in this world and with these characters. Helene endears me and pisses me off as much as she always did. I missed fantasy novels

very middling so far, i’m quite disappointed
