Going to DNF – while I think it has an interesting premise (note the book details on Goodreads don’t match the actual blurb of the book) I just wasn’t connecting to the story. While I liked the dual POV of Zarielle and Sorelle, I feel like the narrative, dialogue and world just didn’t have enough depth to pull me in. Life’s too short to read books you’re not vibing with, so it’s going back on the shelf.

I think I’ve cried for two other books this year, but 2% of the way through, I already felt my heart break about my prediction for the end of the book and 10% of the way through I’m already ugly sobbing into my pillow. I miss being happy 😭
