I cannot finish this book, I have tried. There needs to be an unfinished bookshelf. If I read any longer I will be wasting my life

I stared this before the new year and am forcing myself to finish it before it expires —but it’s actually gotten more interesting. Although every time I think the characters will creep out of their depressing existence into a better one, their attempts are crushed. It’s depressing. But it’s truly what someone’s life may have been like
