I just finished the first part. So so much drama. Seriously are these people adults or what? It’s way over the top. Im beginning to think that’s just how Dostoyevsky writes his characters. I’m left annoyed at Nastasya Filippovna. I’m wondering if she is going to stand in for another Christ like, self sacrificing character. Myshkin sure is and lovely at that.

Why was everyone saying this book was so challenging? I’m two chapters into the second part and I’m finding it to be so witty. I’ve laughed out loud several times. Dorothea and Celia are so full of personality.
